The beauty of tooth replacement with dental implants in North York

Dr. Amir Awadalla at Esquire Dental Center, Macro close up of male mouth showing teeth.

The loss of a permanent tooth or teeth is no small matter. Our oral structure is designed to operate with a full set of upper and lower teeth. We primarily view our teeth as necessary for chewing, which is correct. When teeth are not fully functional, the way we chew our food may be affected, leading to digestive troubles. Our teeth are the most important part of our smile and overall facial appearance, plumping the cheeks and the lips for healthy facial harmony.

When we are lacking the appropriate number of teeth, everything from our appearance to our oral health is impacted. At Esquire Dental Centres, we help our patients restore their best smiles with tooth replacement options that work for them. A visit to our office in North York, Pickering, or Scarborough is all it takes to learn about dental implants and other restorative care.

For beautiful smile restoration after tooth loss, we offer superior care with dental implant treatment. Implants have been used for more than three decades, and have been proven successful in replacing a single tooth, several teeth, and even as a denture alternative. This modern-day tooth replacement process addresses needs that cannot be met by conventional treatments.

The aspect that is special about dental implants for tooth replacement is that the overall design is intended to mimic not only natural teeth, but also their roots. The implants are tiny cylinders made of titanium. These cylinders are inserted into healthy jawbone tissue in a quick, painless procedure. Over the course of a few months, bone tissue fuses to the implant, solidifying its position within the jaw, just like natural teeth.

Intended as the underlying support, implants are highly versatile in the area of tooth replacement. Though each implant post is a single unit, different types of restorations can be affixed to an implant. Replacement of a single tooth includes an implant post and a customized crown. Multiple teeth may be replaced with ultimate stability by affixing a dental bridge to one or two implants. Even dentures take on a completely new feel when stabilized by four to six implants.

Dental implants have changed the way dentists restore missing teeth. At Esquire Dental Centres, we can help you regain full confidence in your smile with tooth replacement treatment designed around your specific needs. Contact us in Pickering, Scarborough, or North York for your consultation.
