The Magic of Invisalign Treatment for Adults

Invisalign gives adults a straighter smile through a series of clear plastic aligner trays that gradually reposition teeth into a more favorable alignment. Trays are to be worn for 22+ hours each day and are swapped out every two weeks for the next set in the series. In anywhere from 12-24 months, patients will be left with the straight smile they’ve always wanted.

Benefits of Invisalign

Invisalign is comfortable

Invisalign uses smooth, BPA-free plastic trays that are thin enough to fit over the teeth snugly without disrupting the inside of the mouth. There is a short adjustment period when a new set of trays is put on, patients typically get used to them within a day or two.

Invisalign is discreet

Invisalign aligners are clear and stain-resistant, making them virtually invisible to others. In fact, most people won’t even know the individual is wearing them.

Invisalign is convenient

Invisalign is designed to work with your lifestyle. While it’s important to wear the trays for the recommended amount of time for optimal results, they can be removed for short periods of time when needed.

Invisalign is easy

There are many aspects of traditional orthodontics that can be difficult to manage. With traditional braces, oral hygiene is harder, which can impact oral health. Traditional braces also carry with them a long list of “off-limit” foods such as nuts, candy, popcorn, etc. Because Invisalign trays are removable, individuals can enjoy his or her favorite foods and be able to brush and floss regularly before putting the trays back on.

The Invisalign Consultation

To begin the treatment process, we perform a physical examination of the mouth that includes taking digital images of the smile. This information is then used to map out the movement of the teeth and give a visual representation of how Invisalign can transform the smile.

Once the digital map and customized treatment plan is complete, this information is sent to a state of the art Invisalign lab for creation of the trays.

When the trays are ready, it’s time to return to the office to officially begin treatment.

The Invisalign treatment process

On day one of Invisalign treatment, the dentist will check the aligners for proper fit, go over the recommendations for treatment and answer any questions.

After that, patients can swap out trays on their own every two weeks. Follow-up appointments are scheduled about every six weeks to monitor the progress of treatment.
