How we restore your smile during a dental emergency
When you have a dental emergency, don’t delay treatment because this leads to unnecessary pain, widespread infection, and possible tooth loss. Dental emergencies should be treated as such—with urgency!
If you have a dental emergency, call us immediately. Our team helps even before you arrive at our office. Over the phone, we’ll give you tips to manage pain and prevent the progression of the oral issue. When you reach our office, we’ll promptly diagnose you and offer the treatments below, depending on your case.
- Dental fillings: Cavities are minor but can be extremely painful, especially when allowed to grow deeper. We treat cavities and minor cracks with composite fillings. Our dental fillings are minimally conservative and quick to place. Moreover, the dental fillings are coloured like your tooth, so no one will notice you ever had decay.
- Dental crowns: If your tooth damage or decay is too significant for a tooth filling, we’ll recommend a dental crown. Unlike a dental filling that sits within a tooth, a dental crown encapsulates the entire tooth. Of course, we’ll need to remove some tooth enamel to create space for the crown. Once we crown your tooth, it will look and function like your natural tooth.
- Root canals: Many patients with excruciating pain often have an infected tooth. We must remove the diseased tissue using root canal therapy in such cases. Unlike what you may have heard, a root canal in our office is painless thanks to modern anesthetics and light touch techniques.
- Extractions: When you have a severely damaged or decayed tooth that’s beyond restoration, we’ll recommend tooth extraction. Don’t worry about extractions! We offer gentle teeth removal services to resolve pain and restore oral health.
- Periodontal care: Bleeding, tender, or swollen gums are telltale symptoms of gum disease. Without treatment, gum disease progresses and can cause severe damage to the gums and bone, eventually causing tooth loss. We offer deep teeth cleanings and antibiotics and educate patients on proper ways to maintain healthy gums.
