Dental implant treatments provide a long-term, easy to maintain solution for tooth replacement

Dr. Amir Awadalla at Esquire Dental Center, Female dentist showing an X-Ray to a male patient

Dental implant treatments provide patients with a high quality, long-term solution when tooth replacement is needed. Patients may be tempted to consider other solutions because they are less expensive or seem initially to be less of a hassle. After weighing the benefits, however, patients generally find dental implants to be a superior choice.

The implant procedure should be performed by an experienced and well-trained practitioner. Dr. Ashraf Awadalla of Esquire Dental Centers first evaluates patients to determine their candidacy for the procedure, taking into account things such as the patient’s oral health and expectations. The actual surgical aspect of the implant process is simple and will be pain-free due to the careful attention given by our knowledgeable staff. The surgery is performed in the dental office. Dr. Awadalla inserts a small titanium post beneath the gum and into bone. This implanted rod will integrate into the natural bone over time to provide a solid foundation for the completed restoration. The post also provides stimulation to the patient’s bone that mimics the function of the root of a natural tooth. The benefit here is increased bone retention, which is important to preserving the structure of the patient’s face and keeping the overall foundation of the oral structure healthy. The procedure is completed by attaching an abutment to the implant. This is what the actual replacement crown is attached to.

Each prosthetic is carefully designed for the individual and adjusted to provide the patient with a very natural but polished look. Once placed, patients can enjoy the implant and crown for many trouble-free years, even perhaps for their lifetime. If you have any questions or you would like more information on the dental implant procedure, we invite you to call one of our three offices in Ontario to schedule an appointment with Dr. Awadalla. Allow us to share the details of our exceptional treatment plans with you and resolve any concerns you may have so that you can begin the restoration process. You can trust Esquire Dental Centers to offer the most innovative solutions to maintain or restore your most attractive smile.
